Bartender

Position Overview

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. This role ensures a high-quality guest experience through excellent service, product knowledge, and adherence to safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Beverage Preparation & Service

• Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standardized recipes.
• Maintain knowledge of classic cocktails, signature drinks, wines, and spirits.
• Engage with guests, take orders, and provide drink recommendations.

2. Bar Operations

• Set up and restock the bar before and during shifts.
• Maintain cleanliness of bar counters, tools, glasses, and equipment.
• Ensure the bar is organized, safe, and compliant with hygiene standards.

3. Customer Service

• Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Handle guest requests, concerns, and feedback professionally.
• Promote specials, new drink items, or upsell premium products.

4. Cash Handling

• Process payments accurately (cash, card, room charge, etc.).
• Balance cash drawers and maintain transaction records.

5. Compliance

• Verify customer age and ensure responsible alcohol service.
• Follow company policies and local regulations regarding alcohol handling.
• Uphold all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation requirements.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Prior bartending or food & beverage experience is an advantage.

Skills

• Strong mixology skills and product knowledge.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and cash-handling abilities.

Physical Requirements

• Stand for long periods.
